This was a beautiful project lasting several months to bring back to life an old Scott G 905 that had been completely dismantled.
I wanted to honour this beautiful 'Old Lady' with as many accessories as possible.
For the spacer, I used a fragment of bubinga (central Africa), inserted into a beautiful nickel silver hardware that I personally produced in my workshop.
The grip is a vintage-custom cigar, wanted by the owner of the rod, black wrapps and white trim are reminiscent of the Thomas & Thomas "State Of The Art" of the mid-1980s.
I also added "Morgan Style" ferrule rings in ergal, made in my own lab for safety and the corresponding ergal ferrule plugs could not be left out which must be stored in a "Ferrule plug tube" that I built especially to avoid accidental loss.
A beautiful SG "Mildrum" and  "SB" Uni L.W. guides complete the assembly.
The rod has a beautiful action, comfortable, not too soft, with a butt that conserves a lot of power for long casts.
This is a beautiful jewel to be respected and jealously preserved as it deserves.



Questo è stato un bel progetto durato diversi mesi per riportare alla vita una vecchia Scott G 905 che era stata completamente smantellata.
Ho voluto onorare questa bellissima "Vecchia Signora" con tutti gli accessori possibili.
Per lo spacer ho usato un frammento di bubinga (Africa centrale), inserito in una bellissima meccanica in nickel silver che ho personalmente prodotto nel mio lab.
Il grip è un sigaro vintage-custom, voluto dal proprietario della canna, legature nere e filetti bianchi ricordano le Thomas & Thomas "State Of The Art" di metà anni 80.
Ho aggiunto anche dei ferrule rings "Morgan Style" realizzati nel mio lab in ergal per sicurezza e non potevano mancare i relativi ferrule plugs sempre in ergal che vanno riposti in un "Ferrule plug tube" che ho costruito appositamente per evitare di smarrirli accidentalmente.
Un bellissimo SG "Mildrum" e serpentine di "SB" Uni L.W. completano il montaggio.
La canna ha una bellissima azione, confortevole, non troppo morbida, con un butt che conserva molta potenza per lanci lunghi.
Questo é un bel gioiello da rispettare e conservare gelosamente come merita.

GATTI Creek 6'6'' 3/4wt. 2pcs.

This time I did a complete restyling job on a lively and responsive little blank from GATTI house.
Inspired by the green colour of the blank, which reminded me of the typical colour of WRC blanks, I decided on a Winston total style look.
Naturally, I used tiger maple spacers, a grip typical of the 'Pure' model, a hardware with a cap I made in my lab, dark green silk wraps and burgundy trim.
I also purposely abounded with epoxy on the wraps, in typical Winston style.
The rod is really fun, fast and powerful, it will certainly give good emotions.



Questa volta ho eseguito un lavoro di Restyling completo su un piccolo grezzo vivace e reattivo di casa GATTI.
Ispirato dal colore verde del grezzo, che mi ha ricordato quello tipico dei grezzi WRC, ho deciso per un look Winston total style.
Ovviamente ho usato per lo spacer il tiger maple, un grip tipico del modello "Pure", una meccanica con cap che ho realizzato nel mio lab, legature in seta verde scuro e filetti bordeaux.
Ho anche appositamente abbondato con l'epossidica sulle legature, in puro stile Winston.
La canna è davvero divertente, rapida e potente, darà certamente belle emozioni.

Another blank designed by Gary Loomis (of NFC), who certainly needs no introduction.
Lightweight, powerful and with a very sensitive tip, a powerful all-around for those who like "straight backs".
The look of the rod is very classic as usual, I used a beautiful buckeye fragment from the USA,
encased in a threaded hardware that I personally made in my workshop.
A beautiful Japanese green silk and white tip for the guides of the SB and the traditional SG Mildrum.
Ferrule rings for safety and ferrule plugs for aesthetic completion...
I hope she will be a fishing companion up to every challenge !


Un altro grezzo progettato da Gary Loomis (di casa NFC), che non ha certo bisogno di presentazioni.
Leggero, potente e con un vettino molto sensibile, un all-around potente per quelli che amano le "schiene dritte".
Il look della canna è molto classico come al solito, ho usato un bellissimo frammento di buckeye, proveniente dagli USA,
incastonato in una meccanica a vite che ho personalmente realizzato nel mio lab.
Una bella seta verde giapponese e filetti bianchi per le serpentine di SB e del tradizionale SG Mildrum.
Ferrule rings per la sicurezza e ferrule plugs per un completamento estetico...
Spero che sarà una compagna di pesca all'altezza di ogni sfida !

MHX Gen 2 - 8'6'' 4wt. 4pc

A medium-length MHX Gen 2 blank that satisfied my personal preferences.
Lightweight, fast but not rigid, with a very sensitive tip, it has a considerable reserve of power in the butt for longer and more precise casts.
I tried to give the rod an elegant and very classic look, as requested. All in brown tone, the same tone of brown that Jim Payne (son of E.F. Payne) used on many of his beautiful bamboo rods.
The grip is a very comfortable western, combined with a magnificent selected Californian walnut spacer.
The mechanism is a beautiful Lemke Concept up lock, in aluminium with a butt cap I made in my lab.
I'm sure that the balance and personality of this rod will give P.F. great satisfaction in small and medium-sized rivers !



Un grezzo di MHX Gen 2, di media lunghezza che ha soddisfatto i miei gusti personali.
Leggero, veloce ma non rigido, con un vettino molto sensibile, possiede una notevole riserva di potenza nel butt per lanci più lunghi e precisi.
Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look elegante e molto classico, come richiesto. Tutto sui toni del marrone, lo stesso tono di marrone che Jim Payne (figlio di E.F. Payne) utilizzava su molte delle sue splendide canne in bamboo.
Il grip è un confortevolissimo western, unito ad un magnifico spacer in noce californiano selezionato.
La meccanica è una bellissima Lemke Concept up lock, realizzata in alluminio con un butt cap che ho realizzato nel mio lab.
Sono sicuro che l'equilibrio e il carattere di questa canna sapranno regalare a P.F. grandi soddisfazioni in fiumi di piccola e media grandezza !

I'm absolutely thrilled with this blank rolled by Mike in the USA ( Great job Mike ! ).
I was very impressed by the progression, the power and at the same time the sensitivity.
Together with my customer, we gave the rod an elegant and unique look, 
I used the finest materials available on the global market, as requested.
The grip is a high-comfort western, combined with a magnificent spacer in a ultra-select stabilised burl (exibition grade).
I installed an up-lock mechanism from 'Lemke Concept' to which I added a butt cap that I personally realised in ergal in my workshop.
I also added 'Morgan Style' ferrule rings, again made in my lab from ergal, for safety and to give an amplified emphasis to the precious mounting silk.
A beautiful orange/white agate banded by 'Perfect' and snakes guides by 'SB' Uni, wrapped with lime-green Japanese silk and orange tip complete the assembly.
This is a rod that will make you love it...
...and you will never get tired of it !



Sono assolutamente entusiasta di questo grezzo rullato da Mike negli USA, ( Gran lavoro Mike ! ).
Mi ha molto colpito la progressività, la potenza e nello stesso tempo la sensibilità.
Insieme al mio cliente abbiamo dato alla canna un look elegante ed unico, ho usato i materiali più pregiati disponibili sul meccato globale, come richiesto.
Il grip è un western dal confort elevato, unito ad un magnifico spacer in una selezionatissima radica stabilizzata (exibition grade).
Ho montato una meccanica up lock di "Lemke Concept" a cui ho aggiunto un butt cap che ho personalmente realizzata in ergal nel mio lab.
Ho aggiunto anche dei ferrule rings "Morgan Style" sempre realizzati nel mio lab in ergal per sicurezza e per dare un risalto amplificato alla bellissima seta di montaggio.
Una bellissima agata arancio/bianco banded by "Perfect" e serpentine di "SB" Uni, legate con seta giapponese color verde lime e filetti arancio completano il montaggio.
Questa è una canna che si farà amare...

This is a fast, precise and powerful rod.... It can be a fishing companion in many situations.
The look of the rod is sober and classic. The predominant colour is burgundy, as requested by the customer, with small touches yellow of the spacer.
The grip is a classic cigar that is slim and comfortable enough, combined with the beautiful olive veined spacer from the Tuscan Maremma.
I added my own brass and POM hardware, which underwent an ageing process to give the whole thing a lived-in feel.
A modern silver stripping guide and burgundy gossamer silk bindings with small yellow ochre accents complete the assembly.
Ready for combat with important fish !


Questa è una canna veloce, precisa e potente... Può essere una compagna di pesca in molte situazioni.
Il look della canna è sobrio e classico. Il colore predominante è il bordeaux, come richiesto dal cliente, con piccoli richiami al giallo dello spacer.
Il grip è un classico sigaro abbastanza sottile e confortevole, unito al bellissimo spacer in  in ulivo venato, proveniente dalla Maremma Toscana.
Ho montato una mia meccanica in ottone e POM, sottoposta a processo di invecchiamento per dare un senso di vissuto all'insieme.
Un moderno stripping guide argento e legature in seta gossamer bordeaux con piccoli accenti in giallo ocra, completano il montaggio.
Pronta al combattimento con prede importanti !

MHX Gen 2 - 8'0'' 4wt. 4pc

This is an MHX blank that I consider to be one of the best in graphite of all the 8' I have tried.
Lightweight, fast but not rigid, with a very sensitive tip, very comfortable during the fishing action.
I have given the barrel an elegant and unique look, all in green tones, as requested.
The grip is my beloved slim-fit, combined with a magnificent spacer in a highly selected stabilised and pigmented burl.
The hardware is my smooth down lock slide band, perhaps my favourite, made of ergal with a green PE inlay.
A beautiful emerald agate by 'Perfect' and guides by 'SB' Uni l.w., wrapped with emerald Japanese silk.
I'm sure Andrea will have fun with her on the waters of beautiful Tuscany !



Questo è un grezzo di MHX che considero tra i migliori in graphite tra gli 8' che io abbia provato.
Leggero, veloce ma non rigido, con un vettino molto sensibile, piacevolissimo durante l'azione di pesca.
Ho dato alla canna un look elegante ed unico, tutto sui toni del verde, come richiesto.
Il grip è il mio adorato slim-fit, unito ad un magnifico spacer in una selezionatissima radica stabilizzata e pigmentata.
La meccanica è la mia smooth down lock slide band, forse la mia preferita, realizzata in ergal con un intarsio in PE verde.
Una bellissima agata smeraldo by "Perfect" e serpentine di "SB" Uni, legate con seta giapponese color smeraldo.
Sono sicuro che Andrea si divertirà con lei sulle acque della splendida Toscana !

I tried to give the blank an elegant and unique look, I used the top-quality materials available on the global market, as required.
The grip is a high-comfort western, combined with a magnificent spacer in a ultra-select stabilised burl (exibition grade).
The down-lock slide band hardware, which I have named "StalkBer smooth", is based on my own design, made of ergal with a POM inlay, entirely produced in my workshop.
I also added 'Morgan Style' ferrule rings, also made in my lab from ergal, for safety and a superior esthetic effect.
I also created the appropriate ferrule plugs also in egal to complete the assembly.
A beautiful honey agate/banded by 'Perfect' and guides of 'SB' Uni, wrapped with honey-coloured Japanese silk complete the assembly.
The rod has a very comfortable fishing action, fast but not exasperated, with an excellent reserve of power in the butt.
A perfect partner for adventures that Paolo will certainly appreciate !

Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look elegante ed unico, ho usato i materiali più pregiati disponibili sul meccato globale, come richiesto.
Il grip è un western dal confort elevato, unito ad un magnifico spacer in una selezionatissima radica stabilizzata (exibition grade).
La meccanica down lock slide band che ho chiamato StalkBer smooth, deriva da un mio disegnao realizzata in ergal con un intarsio in POM, interamente prodotta nel mio lab.
Ho aggiunto anche dei ferrule rings "Morgan Style" sempre realizzati nel mio lab in ergal per sicurezza e per un effetto estetico superiore.
Ho creato anche i relativi ferrule plugs sempre in egal per completare tutto l'insieme.
Una bellissima agata miele/banded by "Perfect" e serpentine di "SB" Uni, legate con seta giapponese color miele completano il montaggio.
La canna ha un'azione molto gradevole in pesca, veloce ma non esasperata, con un'ottima riserva di potenza nel butt.
Una perfetta compagna di avventure che sicuramente Paolo saprà apprezzare !

Daiwa Exagon Whisker - 8'0'' #4 2pc

This 'mature' rod made in Great Britain had great success in the 1990s, It has been highly appreciated by many fishermen, who even today praise its qualities.
The rod was totally disassembled and rebuilt trying to make it as clean and essential as possible.
The overall look tends to be retrò.
I produced in my lab the bi-metal hardware with a very classic design and then I personally burnished it antiquing its aspect.
For spacer I used a beautiful piece of wild peach tree provided by the customer himself, mounted directly in contact with the grip, installed directly in contact with grip, this is a solution that I like very much and gives unequalled comfort when fishing.
Ghost silk for the original serpetine, strippig guide included so as not to contaminate the special bamboo color finish, typical of this model.
It was a great pleasure for me to give this rod a new life. It was a great adventure for a dear friend who I'm sure will make the most of this jewel.



Questa canna "matura" made in Gran Bretagna ha avuto un grande successo negli anni 90, è stata davvero molto apprezzata da tanti pescatori che anche oggi ne rimpingono le qualità.
La canna è stata totalmente smontata e ricostruita cercando di renderla più pulita ed essenziale possibile.
Il look generale è tendenzialmente retrò.
Ho prodotto nel mio lab la meccanica bi-metal dal disegno molto classico e poi l'ho personalmente brunita anticandone l'aspetto.
Per lo spacer ho usato un bellissimo pezzo di pesco selvatico fornitomi dal cliente stesso, montato direttamente a contatto con il grip, questa è una soluzione che mi piace molto e conferisce un confort in pesca, ineguagliabile.
Seta traparente per le originali serpetine, strippig guide compreso per non contaminare la particolare finitura bamboo, tipica di questo modello.
E' stato per me un grande piacere ridare una nuova vita a questa canna. Una bella avventura affrontata per un carissimo amico che sicuramete saprà sfruttare al meglio questo gioiello.

Another HMX blank that I really appreciate, with a matt carbon finish.
I have tried to give the rod a simple and clean look as requested.
The hardware is a beautiful "Lemke Concept" up-lock threaded.
The grip is a full wells with high comfort, combined with a magnificent Tuscan olive wood spacer with black wood veins.
A beautiful SG 'Mildrum' and snakes guides of 'SB' Uni, wrapped with black PW nylon complete the assembly.
The rod has a fast but not exasperated action, it is very sensitive at the tip, for me an excellent light-allround.



Un altro grezzo di casa HMX che apprezzo molto, con finitura matt carbon.
Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look semplice e pulito come richiesto.
Il grip è un full wells dal confort elevato, unito ad magnifico spacer in ulivo toscano con venature nere.
La meccanica è una bellissima Lemke Concept up-lock a vite.

This is a fast, sensitive and precise rod, a powerful all-around,
which will certainly facilitate the fight and make it easier to catch big fish.
The look of the rod is sober and elegant.
The predominant colour is black, as requested by the customer, with small touches of the yellow ochre of the spacer.
The grip is a slim and comfortable classic western, combined with the beautiful bi-coloured ebony spacer from Gabon.
I used a fine silver Lemke Concept hardware that I modified and customised in my workshop to make it unique.
A beautiful black ceramic stripping guide and black gossamer silk wraps with small yellow ochre accents complete the assembly.

Questa è una canna veloce, sensibile e precisa, una all-around potente,
che certamente faciliterà il combattimento ed il salpaggio di grossi pesci.
Il look della canna è sobrio ed elegante.
Il colore preminente è il nero, come richiesto dal cliente, con piccoli richiami al giallo ocra dello spacer.
Il grip è un classico western sottile e confortevole, unito al bellissimo spacer in ebano bi-color proveniente dal Gabon.
Ho montato una pregiata meccanica Lemke Concept argento che ho modificato e personalizzato nel mio lab per renderla unica.
Un bellissimo stripping guide black ceramic e legature in seta gossamer nera con piccoli accenti in giallo ocra, completano il montaggio.
Pronta a regalare splendide sensazioni al pescatore più esigente.

This is a fast and sensitive but not exaggerated rod, it is characterised by a fast and comfortable action.
The look of the rod is one of my favourites, classic and elegant. (Thank you Luigi for giving me freedom in the choice of components).
The grip is a slim-fit, extremely comfortable, in continuity with the beautiful Bi-colour ebony spacer from Gabon.
The hardware is extremely light, smooth with a few incisions to interrupt its continuity and an inlay on the bottom in polished brass.
A beautiful purple agate by Perfect Agate and purple silk wraps with brown/gold CP silk accents such as the spacer complete the assembly.
I hope that dear Luigi will have long adventures with her !



Questa è una canna veloce e precisa ma non esasperata, è caratterizzata da un'azione rapida e confortevole.
Il look della canna è tra i miei preferiti, classico ed elegante. (Grazie Luigi per avermi lasciato libero nella scelta dei componenti).
Il grip è uno slim-fit, estremamente confortevole, in continuità con il bellissimo spacer in ebano bi-color proveniente dal Gabon.
La meccanica è estremamente leggera, liscia con alcune incisioni per interromperne la continuità e con un intarsio sul fondo in ottone lucidato.
Una bellissima agata viola by Perfect Agate e legature in seta viola con accenti in seta CP marrone/oro come lo spacer, completano il montaggio.
Spero che il caro Luigi vivrà con lei lunghe avventure !

SAGE DART 376-3 | 7'6'' 3wt.
(Graphite Rod)




This is a rod for small waters, it is characterised by a fast short-range action.
Specifically designed to execute precise loops, ensuring delicate presentations on suspicious fish.
The look of the rod is classic and sober, with clear references to the typical SAGE style.
The grip is a slim-fit fused to the beautiful spacer in a special Japanese burl, together they give a nice velvety sensation.
The hardware is extremely light and smooth with a black POM accent, created from a design of mine inspired by the vintage hardware of the famous Stalker.
Unfortunately, the inscription on the rod suffered a small accident, so I had to completely delete it and rewrite the features myself in my usual classic style.
I'm sure this little jewel will make a great partner in adventure.

Questo è una canna per piccole acque, è caratterizzata da un'azione rapida a corto raggio.
Progettata specificamente per eseguire loop precisi, garantendo presentazioni delicate su pesci sospettosi.
Il look della canna è classico e sobrio, con evidenti riferimenti al tipico stile SAGE.
Il grip è uno slim-fit fuso al bellissimo spacer in una particolare radica Giapponese, insieme regalano una bella sensazione vellutata.
La meccanica è estremamente leggera e liscia con un accento in POM nero, nata da un mio disegno ispirato alle meccaniche vintage delle celebri Stalker.
Purtroppo le scritte sulla canna hanno subito un piccolo incidente, perciò ho dovuto canellarle completamente e riscrivere personalmente le caratteristiche con il mio solito stile classico.
Sono sicuro che questo piccolo gioiello sarà un ottimo compagno di avventure.

The XP series has been one of SAGE's most successful series, a rod of great character with a lively temperament.
This is a 'special' rod, it has travelled to many parts of the world, it has experienced endless adventures, it is a special gift that my customer received from an important person.
It was totally disassembled and rebuilt trying to keep as many components intact as possible. Despite the polishing there are still several marks on the barrel that make it truly a lived-in barrel.
I tried to give the rod an elegant, classic and clean look, changing some of the colours I considered more appropriate while retaining some of the SAGE old style details.
The rod has a fast and powerful action and can adapt to any situation we face.
I hope the rod will still travel the world for a long time.

La serie XP è stata una delle serie di grandissimo successo di casa SAGE, una canna di grande carattere dal vivace temperamento.
Questa è una canna "speciale", ha girato buona parte del mondo, ha vissuto infinite avventure, è uno speciale regalo che il mio cliente ha ricevuto da una persona importante.
E' stata totalmente smontata e ricostruita cercando di mantenere intatte più componenti possibili. Nonostante la lucidatura sono ancora presenti diversi segni sul fusto che la rendono davvero una canna vissuta.
Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look elegante, classico e pulito, cambiando alcuni colori che ho ritenuto più opportuni pur mantenendo alcuni particolari del SAGE old style.
La canna ha un'azione veloce e potente, può adattarsi a qualsiasi situazione che dobbiamo affrontare.
Spero che la canna viaggi ancora nel mondo per molto tempo.

The rod has a modern, essential and clean look, as required.
The reel seat is composed by a beautiful stabilized maple burl combined with a beautiful Lemke Concept hardware that I personally modified in the butt cap to make it unique.
The guides are S.B. (my favourite), wraps made of pink-coloured Japanese silk and pink tip.
As requested, I mounted a pink agate stripping guide by Joe Arguello (USA).
The action is fast and very sensitive at the tip, a wonderful all-around for any situation.

The rod has a modern, essential and clean look, as required.
The reel seat consists of small purple acrylic resin parts that combine with its complementary "fern colour".
The hardware is a splendid Lemke Concept made by Joel Lemke in the USA, combined with a carbon grip that I personally built in my workshop.
The rings are very light single-foot by REC in nickel titanium and a beautiful CERECOIL stipping guide.
As requested, I inserted a single-foot directly into the tip to maximise the sensitivity of the tip.
The action is fast and very sensitive at the tip, it will be great to use it in dry fly.
This rod was made for one of the most important Italian fly tiers, I hope it will support him in many adventures....

La canna ha un look moderno, essenziale e pulito, come richiesto.
Il reel seat è composto da piccole parti in resina acrilica color viola che si sposano con il suo complementare "fern color".
La meccanica è una splendida Lemke Concept prodotta da Joel Lemke in USA unita ad un carbon grip che ho personalmente costruito nel mio lab.
Le anellature sono dei leggerissimi monoponte by REC in nickel titanio ed un bellissimo stipping guide CERECOIL.
Come richiesto, ho inserito un monoponte direttamente nel tip per aumentare al massimo la sensibilità del vettino.
L' azione è veloce e molto sensibile in punta, sarà magnifico usarla in dry fly.
Questa canna è stata realizzata per un tra i più importanti fly tier italiani, spero che lo accompagni in tante avventure....

MHX Gen 2 - 9'0'' 2wt. 2pc - Unconventional blank !

This is a HMX GEN 2 blank with a matt carbon finish.
It has an unusual structure for a 9'0'' compared to modern construction standards, in fact it is composed of only 2 pieces.
A request expressly made by the customer to ensure the purest possible action, with the minimum of iterations between segments.
The rod has a clean look as usual, and with warm coloured.
The spacer is made from a beautiful Tuscan olive burl assembled in continuity with a half wells slim-fit grip to obtain a unique comfort to the touch and an ergal hardware with POM inlay, entirely made in my workshop, to guarantee a safe locking of the reel.
Guides SB Uni LW, and a beautiful honey banded stripping guide "Perfect" (by Ernest Czelads) and Japanese silk wraps.
The action of the rod is very comfortable, fast and with a distinct sensitivity at the tip. Perfect with 1/2 line for very delicate presentations.
I hope that this rod will travel with its owner around Europe in search of beautiful Thymallus thymallus !
 
 
Questo è un  grezzo di casa HMX GEN 2, con finitura matt carbon.
Ha una struttura poco consueta per essere una 9'0'' rispetto agli standard costruttivi moderni, infatti è composto di soli 2 pezzi.
Una richiesta espressamente fatta dal cliente per assicurare un'azione più pura possibile, con il minimo delle iterruzioni tra i segmenti.
La canna ha look come al solito pulito, e dai colori caldi.
Lo spacer è realizzato utilizzando una splendida radica di ulivo toscano montato in continuità con un grip half wells slim-fit per ottenere al tatto un confort unico e una meccanica in ergal con intarsio in POM, interamente realizzata le mio lab, garantiscono un bloccaggio sicuro del mulinello.
Serpentine SB Uni LW, ed un bellissimo stripping guide in atata a bande color miele "Perfect" (by Ernest Czelads) e legature in seta giapponese.
L' azione della canna è molto confortevole, veloce e con una spiccata sensibilità in punta. Perfetta con code 1/2 per presentazioni molto delicate.
Io spero che questa canna accompagni il propritario in giro per l'Europa alla ricerca di splendidi esemplari di Thymallus thymallus !

MHX Gen 2 - 9'0'' 3wt. 4pc

Another MHX blank that I really appreciate, with a matt carbon finish.
I tried to give the rod an absolutely austere and unique look, in fact this is the 100th of the most beautiful rods (in my opinion) that I have buildeded.
The grip is a slim-fit for high comfort, combined with a magnificent bi-colour spacer in "Royal Mexican Ebony", in dark purple and straw yellow.
The hardware is my own prototype, down lock, all brass, which I recently made in my lab.
I also added 'Morgan Style' ferrule rings in brass, made in my own lab for safety and a superior esthetic effect.
The corresponding brass ferrule plugs could not be left out. They are stored in a 'Ferrule plug tube' that I have specially made so as not to accidentally lose them.
A beautiful SG "Mildrum" and  "SB" Original guides, wrapped with purple Japanese silk complete the assembly.
The rod has a fast but not exasperated action, it is very sensitive at the tip, for me an excellent light allround.


Un altro grezzo di casa MHX che apprezzo molto, con finitura matt carbon.
Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look assolutamente austero ed unico, infatti questa è la centesima, tra le canne più belle (a mio giudizio) che io abbia montato.
Il grip è uno Slim-fit abbastanza esile per un confort elevato, unito ad magnifico spacer bi-color in "Ebano Messicano Reale", dai colori viola scuro e giallo paglierino.
La meccanica è un mio prototipo down lock a vite, tutta in ottone, che ho recentemente realizzato nel mio lab.
Ho aggiunto anche dei ferrule rings "Morgan Style" realizzati nel mio lab in ottone per sicurezza e per un effetto estetico superiore.
Non potevano mancare i relativi ferrule plugs sempre in ottone che vanno riposti in un "Ferrule plug tube" che ho costruito appositamente per evitare di smarrirli accidentalmente.
Un bellissimo SG "Mildrum" e serpentine di "SB" Original, legate con seta giapponese color viola completano il montaggio.
La canna ha un'azione veloce ma non esasperata, è molto sensibile in punta, per me un' ottima allround leggera.

This is a "special" rod, it has a special meaning for a dear friend and great fisherman.
It has been completely disassembled and rebuilt with almost all components changed.
I tried to give the rod an elegant, classic and clean look.
The grip is a classic western combined with a spacer in a beautiful bubinga wood (Central Africa), with warm and intense colours.
I chose a beautiful 'Lemke Concept' hardware with NS finish that I customised to make it special and unique.
I added a 'Morgan Style' ferrule ring made in my lab which makes the ferrule more secure and attractive.
Original H&H snakes, wrapped with japanese gossamer silk burgundy-coloured.
The rod has a fast but not exasperated action, it is very balanced in casting.
I hope the rod will soon travel throughout Europe.

E' stata totalmente smontata e ricostruita cambiando quasi completamente tutta la componentistica.
Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look elegante, classico e pulito.
Il grip è un classico western unito ad bellissimo spacer in una splendida essenza di bubinga (Africa centrale), dai colori caldi e intensi.
Ho scelto una splendida meccanica "Lemke Concept" con finitura NS che ho customizzato per renderla speciale ed unica.
Ho aggiunto un ferrule ring "Morgan Style" realizzato nel mio lab che rende l'innesto più sicuro e accattivante.
Le serpentine di H&H Originali, legate con seta giapponese color bordeaux.
La canna ha un'azione veloce ma non esasperata, è molto equilibrata nel lancio.
Spero che la canna viaggi presto in tutta Europa.

This is one of the fastest 7'6'' I have ever tried, it has exceptional power, much appreciated by lovers of this type of action.
It was totally disassembled and rebuilt by completely changing all the components.
The grip is a slim-fit fused with a beautiful northern European conifer burl spacer, together they provide a velvety-comfort feel, that is truly exhilarating.
I made the hardware myself in my workshop, giving it a very classic and traditional look.
I replaced the single foot rings with SB Original snake guides, wrapped with japanese gossamer silk honey colour.
 
 
Questa è una delle 7'6'' più veloci che abbia mai provato, ha una potenza eccezionale, molto apprezzata dagli amanti di questo genere di azioni.
E' stata totalmente smontata e ricostruita cambiando completamente tutta la componentistica.
Il grip è uno slim-fit fuso al bellissimo spacer in radica di conifera del nord Europa, insieme regalano una sensazione al tatto di vellutato confort davvero esaltante.
L'intera meccanica l'ho realizzata personalmente nel mio laboratorio, dandole un aspetto molto classico e tradizionale.
Ho sostituito gli anelli a piede singolo con le serpentine di SB Original, legate con seta giapponese color miele.
Ho redistribuito le anellature aggiungendo un anello in più, ora sento la canna più equilibrata nel lancio.

This is the Elevation model by Guideline' House, a series produced in 2020.
It has been completely disassembled and rebuilt using the same original components, I have personally made a carbon grip and a naked reel seat with acrylic resin inserts for maximum lightness and black wraps tipped in green apple.
It is a very light rod, has a progressive action with a good reserve of power in the butt. Very precise even over long distances, an excellent all-rounder for all situations.
The rod was made for a my friend and great Italian fly tier, winner of many national level contests.
I hope it will accompany him in many adventures....

Questa è la Elevation di Guideline, serie prodotta nel 2020.
E' stata completamente smontata e ricostruita utilizzando la stessa componentistica originale, ho realizzato personalmente un carbon grip ed un reel seat naked con inserti in resina acrilica per ottenere il massimo della legerezza e legature dei passanti in nero filettate in apple green.
E' una canna molto leggera, ha un'azione progressiva con con una buona riserva di potenza nel butt.
Molto precisa anche sulle lunghe distanze, un ottima allround per tutte le situazioni.
La canna è stata realizzata per un mio amico e grande fly tier italiano, vincitore di molti contest di livello nazionale.
Spero lo accompagni in molte avventure....

Another beautiful blank of CTS' House with an eye-catching fern-coloured finish.
The rod has a modern and clean look, as requested.
In this case I used an acrylic resin that perfectly matches the "fern colour" combined with a beautiful Joel Lemke hardware and a carbon grip that I personally built in my lab.
The fly line slides through the very light REC single-bridge rings and into a beautiful CERECOIL stipping guide.
The action is fast and powerful, and at the same time, sensitive and pleasant to fish... even in dry fly.
This rod was made for a great Italian fly tier, I hope it brings him a lot of luck....

Un altro bellissimo grezzo di casa CTS con con una accattivante finitura color fern.
La canna ha un look moderno e pulito, come richiesto.
In questo caso ho usato una resina acrilica che si sposa perfettamente con il "fern color" abinato ad una splendida meccanica di Joel Lemke e un carbon grip che ho personalmente costruito nel mio lab.
La coda scivolerà attraverso le leggerissimi anelli monoponte REC e in un bellissimo stipping guide CERECOIL.
L' azione è veloce e potente, e al contempo, sensibile e piacevole in pesca... anche a secca.
Questa canna è stata realizzata per un grande fly tier italiano, spero che gli porti molta fortuna....

Another blank of MHX' House, matt carbon finish.
My opinion of these blanks is very positive, they have a fast but not extreme action, and the level of manufacture is very high.
The rod has a clean look and also a bit of vitage, I used a half-wells grip, a beautiful Tuscan olive, a bi-metal ergal and brass hardware with a polished finish entirely made in my lab, "Snake Brand" Universal guides, and a beautiful "Mildrum" stripping guide (one of my favourites).
The action of the rod is very comfortable, fast but not extreme, with a distinct sensitivity at the tip.
This rod was made for my friend Mr. Elia P. on the occasion of his birthday. I have also added a magnetic net holder hand made by me.
I hope this rod will make his fishing trips unique.

Un altro grezzo di casa HMX, con finitura matt carbon.
La mia opinione su questi grezzi è molto positiva, hanno una azione veloce ma non esasperata, ed il livello di manifattura molto alto.
La canna ha look pulito ed anche un po' vitage, ho utilizzato un grip half-wells, uno splendido ulivo toscano, una meccanica bi-metal in ergal e ottone con finitura lucida interamente realizzata le mio lab, serpentine "Snake Brand" Universal, ed un bellissimo stripping guide "Mildrum" (tra i miei preferiti).
L' azione della canna è molto confortevole, veloce ma non estrema, con una spiccata sensibilità in punta.
Questa canna è stata creata per il mio Amico Mr. Elia P. , in occasione del suo compleanno. Ho aggiunto anche un piccolo supporto magnetico per guadino in ergal di mia produzione.
Io spero che questa canna renda uniche le sue uscite di pesca.

I used a beautiful figured wood from Australia combined with a beautiful "Perfect" agate in the same colours, and an ergal hardware with a very classic design with low-relief knurling, made entirely in my workshop.
"Snake Brand" universal guides silver, for maximum quality. Ghost wraps to not cover the beautiful ruby colour !
The rod has an extra fast action, with a very sensitive tip.
I consider it one of the best rods for obtaining high performance in casting "Italian Style".

La canna ha un look classico e pulito, come richiesto.
Ho utilizzato una bellissima essenza figurata proveniente dall' Australia abinata ad una stupenda agata "Perfect" che riprende gli stessi colori, ed una meccanica in ergal con un disegno molto classico con godronatura a basso rilievo, interamente realizzata nel mio lab.
Serpentine "Snake Brand" universal silver per avere il massimo della qualità. Legature ghost per non coprire il bellissimo color rubino !
La canna ha un'azione extra veloce, con un vettino molto sensibile.
La considero tra le migliori canne per l'ottenimento di elevate prestazioni nel lancio "Italian Style".

The rod is fitted with a double tip to avoid problems in the future. The rod has an action Action fast / extra fast, with high reaction times and with a strong sensitivity at the tip and a very powerful butt.
I consider it one of the best rods for fast cast techniques "Italian Style".

Single-foot REC in nickel/titanium and the stripping guide "CERECOIL", help make the cast extremely performant.
With a DT3 Line, I think it's perfect for the fast cast techniques "Italian Style".

contribute to giving the rod a classic and traditional look. I find it perfect with a WF3 line.

Another interesting project combining the power of a Spey rod and the finesse of a trout rod.
The blank comes from the UK and is a beautiful emerald green colour with a glossy finish.
A sober and classic look has been chosen for the rod, a "Lemke Concept" hardware with a nickel silver finish,
a beautiful emerald pigmented stabilised briarwood, we have also added three lab-made "Morgan Style" ferrule rings. Serpentine SB, two "Perfect" green agate stripping guides, green Pearsall's silk gossamer wraps.
The rod has a progressive action with a powerful butt, ready to give wonderful sensations in the hands of a demanding angler.

 

Un altro interessante progetto che prevede la combinazione tra la potenza di una canna Spey e la finezza di una canna da trota. Il grezzo proviene dal Regno Unito, è di un bellissimo color verde smeraldo con finitura lucida.
E' stato scelto un look sobrio e classico per la canna , una meccanica "Lemke Concept" con finitura nickel silver, una splendida radica stabilizzata e pigmentata smeraldo, abbiamo anche aggiunto tre ferrule ring "Morgan Style" realizzati in lab. Serpentine SB, due stripping guide in agata verde "Perfect", legature in seta Pearsall's gossamer verde.
La canna ha una azione progressiva con un butt potente, pronta a regalare splendide sensazioni tra le mani di un pescatore esigente.

NORTH FORK  Lmx FASY | 14'0'' #9

This is an exciting project but unusual for me because of the difficulty in using rods with these characteristics in Italian waters. In fact, this powerful Spey will compete with some nice salmon in Norwegian waters, in the expert hands of Alessio who is an excellent specialist in this technique. The blank comes from the USA, designed by Gary Loomis who needs no introduction... it has a beautiful spiral surface finish. The look of the rod is sober and aggressive, a "Lemke Concept" hardware with black finish. Single-foot REC in nickel/titanium, three CERECOIL stripping guides, black nylon wraps. The rod is extremely powerful, ready to face the powerful fins of a salmon on the run!

 

Questo è un progetto entusiasmante ma per me inusuale, per la difficoltà nell'utilizzo di canne con queste caratteristiche in acque italiane. Infatti questa potente Spey andrà a confrontarsi con qualche bel salmone in acque norvegesi, nelle esperte mani di Alessio che è un autorevole specialista di questa tecnica. Il grezzo proviene dagli USA, è un progetto di Gary Loomis che non ha bisogno di molte presentazioni... ha una bellissima finitura superficiale a spirale.
Il look della canna è sobrio e aggressivo, una meccanica "Lemke Concept" con finitura nera. Anelli monoponte REC in nickel/Titanio, tre stripping guide CERECOIL, legature in nylon nero. La canna è estremamente potente, pronta a fronteggiare le potenti pinnate di un salmone in fuga !

Surprising blank of HMX house, with satin finish.
It is the first Raw of this brand that I had the pleasure of dressing and I must say that it impressed me favorably, for its pleasant action, excellent quality and workmanship.
The rod has a simple, sober and clean look, a mechanical with a carbon insert with a satin finish, serpentines in ultra-thin wire, all made with particular attention to general lightness as required.
The action of the barrel is very comfortable, fast but not extreme, with a marked sensitivity at the tip.


Sorprendente grezzo di casa HMX, con finitura satinata.
E' il primo grezzo di questo brand che ho avuto il piacere di vestire e devo dire che mi ha favorevolmente colpito, per la sua azione gradevole, l'ottima qualità e fattura.
La canna ha look semplice, sobrio e pulito, una meccanica con incastonato un inserto in carbonio con finitura satinata, serpentine in filo ultrasottile, tutto realizzato ponendo una particolare attenzione alla leggerezza generale, come richiesto.
L' azione della canna è molto confortevole, veloce ma no estrema, con una spiccata sensibilità in punta.

Splendido grezzo di casa CTS con finitura Clear.Per questa canna è stato scelto un ghost look, come richiesto, utilizzando una bellissima essenza nord americana ed una meccanica smoky estremamente leggera disegnata da Joel Lemke.La canna ha un'azione azione moderatamente fast, con elevati tempi di reazione e con una spiccata sensibilità in punta. Le serpentine di "Snake Brand" black nickel e lo stripping guide "CERECOIL", contribuiscono a rendere il lancio estremamente performante.

I tried to give the rod a essential, classic and warm look, as requested, using a beautiful tuscan olive wood and an extremely light hardware, born entirely in my lab.
The rod has an action fast / extra speed, with high reaction times and with a sharp sensitivity in tip.
The snake guides by "Snake Brand" in Light Wire and the stripping guide "CERECOIL", help make the cast extremely performant.
With a DT3 Line, I think it's perfect for the fast cast techniques "Italian Style".

Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look sobrio, classico e caldo, come richiesto, utilizzando un bellissimo ulivo toscano ed una meccanica estremamente leggera, nata interamente nel mio lab.
La canna ha un'azione Azione fast / extra veloce, con elevati tempi di reazione e con una spiccata sensibilità in punta. Le serpentine di "Snake Brand" in Light Wire e lo stripping guide "CERECOIL", contribuiscono a rendere il lancio estremamente performante. Microspey "Auseri" | 11'0'' #2/3
150 - 175 grains
(Graphite Rod)

 

This is an interesting project in collaboration with my client that envisioned the combination of the power of a Spey rod and the fineness of a trout rod. With the aim of making live new sensations never perceived before.
The rod was called "Auseri", in honor of the endemic trout (Salmo Trutta Auseri), of the Serchio river that flows in beautiful Tuscany.
The blank was sent to me by the customer, imported from the USA, is a beautiful mahogany color with a glossy finish.
For the rod we chose a traditional and classic look, a hardware "Lemke Concept" nickel silver finish, a beautiful essence of bubinga (Central Africa), we also added two ferrule ring " Morgan Style"made by me in lab which make the ferrule more secure and attractive. Finally we chose two stripping guides in red agate "Perfect" that they give a strong personality to the whole set.
The rod has a progressive-parabolic action, ready to give wonderful sensations in the hands of the most demanding fisherman.

Questo è un interessante progetto in collaborazione col mio cliente che ha previsto la combinazione tra la potenza di una canna Spey e la finezza di una canna da trota. Con lo scopo di far vivere nuove sensazioni mai percepite prima.
La canna è stata chiamata "Auseri", in onore alla trota (Salmo Trutta Auseri), endemica del fiume Serchio che scorre nella splendida Toscana.
Il grezzo mi è stato spedito dal cliente, importato dagli USA, è di un bellissimo color mogano con finitura lucida.
Per la canna abbiamo scelto un look tradizionale e classico, una meccanica "Lemke Concept" con finitura nickel silver, una splendida essenza di bubinga (Africa centrale), abbiamo anche aggiunto due ferrule ring "Morgan Style" realizzati in lab che rendono gli innesti più sicuri e accattivanti. Infine abbiamo scelto due stripping guide in agata rossa "Perfect" che regalano una forte personalità a tutto l'insieme.
La canna ha una azione progressivo-parabolica, pronta a regalare splendide sensazioni tra le mani del pescatore più esigente.

My client chose a sober and clean look, a Portuguese cork and high quality components were used.
For the only two models with wooden spacers, I chose a beautiful Tuscan olive wood (impregnated in lab).
The hardware are all of the prestigious "Lemke Concept" made in the USA by Mr. Joel Lemke.

Il mio cliente ha scelto un look sobrio e pulito, è stato utilizzato un sughero portoghese ed una componentistica di altissima qualità.

The Hardware have been completely realized by myself, in my lab, paying particular attention to lightness.
The rod have a very fast action, with a sharp sensitivity in tip.
Perhaps one of the best rods for fast throwing techniques "Italian Style".
With a DT3 line, I think it's perfect.

La meccanica è stata completamente realizzata da me, nel mio lab, ponendo particolare attenzione alla leggerezza.
L' azione della canna è molto veloce, con una spiccata sensibilità in punta.
Forse una delle migliori canne per le tecniche di lancio veloci "Italian Style".
Con una coda DT3, la trovo perfetta.

This is a fantastic blank by SAGE House mahogany color that doesn't need many presentations.
For the rod we chose a classic and clean look, a Lemke concept hardware of excellent quality that I modified and customized in my lab, a beautiful burl super selected spacer, a stipping guide in red agate that gives a strong personality to the whole.
The rod has a medium action, born for dry fly fishing with delicate poses and light tippets, ready to give wonderful sensations to the most demanding fisherman.

Beautiful blank of the famous New Zealand house "CTS", completely bleached and brought to P2000 finish.
The rod has a sober and clean look as usual, aluminum up lock hardware, a warm Californian walnut spacer in polished finish, black hard chrome single foot. The rod action is very pleasant, not exceedingly fast, born to bathe in the beautiful waters of the wonderful Liguria in the north-west of Italy.


Bellissimo grezzo della nota casa Neozelandese "CTS", completamente decolorato e portato a finitura P2000. La canna ha un look sobrio e pulito come mio solito, una meccanica in alluminio uno spacer in caldo noce californiano e finitura lucida, monoponte hard chrome. With this rod I wanted to pay tribute to three of my favorite fly rod builders, who have made and continue to make the history of Rodbuilging in the world, from which I often take inspiration. " R.L. Winston Rod Co. - Thomas & Thomas - Hardy Bros "
I tried to reproduce in my own way, some of the perticularis of these famous manufacturers.
Starting from a hardware inspired by R.L. Winston "Stalker" 70’s, followed by a slim fit cork grip inspired by Thomas & Thomas in some models in bamboo by Tom Maxwell of the 70s', ending with a winding check inspired by Hardy, in some models of the famous Palakona.
The rod is very light, fast with a strong sensitivity at the top. Ideal for fishing in small streams. I find it perfect with 3 Line.
Con questa canna ho voluto rendere omaggio a tre dei i miei preferiti costruttori di canne da mosca, che hanno fatto e continuano a fare la storia del rod making nel mondo, dai quali spesso prendo ispirazione. " R.L. Winston Rod Co. - Thomas & Thomas - Hardy Bros "
Ho cercato di riprodurre a modo mio, alcuni particolari propri di queste celebri case produttrici.
Partendo da una meccanica ispirata da R.L. Winston "Stalker" 70's, seguita da un grip in sughero slim fit ispirato da Thomas & Thomas in alcuni modelli in bamboo di Tom Maxwell degli anni 70', finendo con un winding check ispirato da Hardy, in alcuni modelli della celebre Palakona.
La canna è molto leggera, rapida dalla spiccata sensibilità in vetta. Ideale in pesca nei piccoli torrenti. La trovo perfetta con coda 3.

TRIANA 7'6'' Line 5
(Restyling - GRAPHITE ROD)

This is the Restyling of one of the first fly rods blanks I've assembled. Triana 7'6'' line 5, im6.
Manufactured in Italy in the late 90's at the beginning of the 2000's.
Unfortunately, the satin black paint of the blank has been a bit ruined over time.
Despite this, I decided not to modify it to leave the blank as intact as possible... I'm very emotionally attached to it.
For the spacer, I chose an old piece of californian walnut,  satin finished,
which I attached an uninterrupted cigar grip to create maximum comfort to the touch.
The hardware is a my new drawing, (Leonad style), shop made, is blued brown brass with silver bottom ring.
The stripping guide is in nickel silver, Mildrum retro style with a carboloy ring.
SB Original guides, cinnamon silk gossamer wraps, tipped in brown.


 Questo è il Restyling di uno dei primi grezzi da mosca che ho montato. Triana 7'6'' line 5, im6.
Prodotto in Italia fine anni 90' inizio anni 2000.
Sfortunatanente la verniciatura nero satinato del grezzo si è un po' rovinata col tempo.
Nonostante questo, ho deciso di non modificarla per lasciare la canna più intatta possibile... ne sono molto affezionato.
Per lo spacer, ho scelto un vecchio pezzo di californian walnut, sottoposto a finitura satinata brillante,
a cui ho unito un cigar grip senza interruzioni per creare il massimo confort al tatto.
La meccanica è un mio nuovo disegno, (Leonad style), che produco personalmente nel mio lab,
è in ottone brunito marrone con anello di fondo silver.
Lo stripping guide è un retrò Mildrum style in nichel silver con anello in carboloy.
Le serpentine sono SB Original, legature in seta gossamer cinnamon, filetto marrone.

I made the restyling for a dear friend of mine who is very fond of this rod.
The rod is very fast in the cast and with a 3 line, I think it's perfect for the fast cast techniques "Italian Style".

Ho realizzato il restyling per un caro amico, che è molto affezionato a questa canna.
La canna è molto rapida nel lancio e con una coda #3, la trovo perfetta per le tecniche di lancio veloci "Italian Style".

I made a restyling of this rod for a very nice person that wanted to honor his dear grandfather, in fact the rod takes his funny nickname. The blank is an IM8 that, although dated, has a modern and current action. The rod  is very fast in the cast and with a 3 line, I think it's perfect for the fast cast techniques "Italian Style".


Ho realizzato il restyling di questa canna per una carissima persona che ha voluto onorare il suo caro nonno, infatti la canna porta in suo simpatico soprannome. Il grezzo è un IM8 che seppur datato, ha una azione moderna ed attuale. La canna è molto rapida nel lancio e con una coda #3, la trovo perfetta per le tecniche di lancio veloci "Italian Style".

  GRAPHITE ROD
 


Beautiful blank fo House CTS, Clear finish.
I tried to give the rod a simple and clean look, (my favorite style),
using exotic woods of considerable value and high quality components,
paying particular attention to lightness. The action is fast but not excessively.

Powerful, with a sharp sensitivity in tip and very comfortable during the fishing action.
A WF4 lines is perfect for her.



Splendido grezzo di casa CTS, con finitura Clear.
Ho cercato di dare alla canna un look semplice e pulito, (il mio preferito), 
utilizzando legni esotici di rilevante pregio ed una componentistica di massima qualità,
ponendo particolare attenzione alla leggerezza. L' azione è veloce ma non eccessivamente.

Potente, con una spiccata sensibilità in punta e molto molto confortevole in pesca.
Una coda WF4 è perfetta per lei.

Fantastic blank of the famous New Zealand company. A mix between power and sensitivity. The rod is lightened in every area. I also tried to increase the sensitivity on the tip section, eliminating the metal tube of the tiptop. The rod designed for modern nymphing reactive and comfortable with light lines.

Fantastico grezzo della celebre casa neozelandese. Un mix tra, potenza e sensibilità. La canna è alleggerita in ogni sua parte. Ho cercato anche di aumentare la sensibilità sul vettino, eliminando buona parte della struttura metallica del tiptop. Canna concepita per una moderna pesca a ninfa reattiva e confortevole con code leggere.
