I'll start by saying that I'm enthusiastic about this rod. It was satisfying to work on an amazingly light and responsive glass of high quality.

The blank is 100% glass construction, rolled with a mixture of E-glass and S-glass using ultra-thin high-tech pre-preg unidirectional fabrics.

A very light and sensitive rod with a quick recovery speed, maintaining a deep bend, with a considerable reserve power for longer casts if needed.

As required, the look of the rod is sober with very dark tones.

A precious fragment of macassar ebony is encased in a threaded hardware of my own making and then blued, blued ferrule rings too for increased safety, the grip is a comfortable and velvety slim-fit, a beautiful stripping guide Mildrum blued in my lab, black nickel guides and brown "Payne" wraps + chocolate tip complete the assembly.

Absolutely a rod with great character that I hope will give much satisfaction....

Inizio dicendo che sono entusiasta di questa canna. E' stato appagante lavorare su un sorprendente vetro molto leggero e reattivo di così alta qualità.

Il grezzo è realizzato al 100% in vetro, rullato con una miscela di vetro E e vetro S utilizzando tessuti unidirezionali pre-preg ultra sottili ad alta tecnologia.

Canna molto leggera e sensibile con una rapida velocità di recupero pur mantenendo comunque una curvatura profonda, con una considerevole riserva di potenza per lanci più lunghi se necessario.

Come richiesto il look della canna è sobrio dai toni molto scuri.

Un pregiato frammento di ebano macassar è incastonato in una meccanica a vite di mia produzione e poi brunita, ferrule rings bruniti per una protezione aumentata, il grip è un confortevole e vellutato slim-fit, un bellissimo stripping guide Mildrum brunito nel mio lab, serpentine black nickel e legature in marrone "Payne" + filetti cioccolato completano il montaggio.

Decisamente una canna dal gran carattere che spero regalerà tante soddisfazioni...

This is a fantastic rod, it has a soft and deep loading, probably the perfect rod for small waters.

I built this ‘beauty’ with the intention of giving it a sober and elegant look.

The grip is a velvety slim-fit in continuity with a high-quality stabilised maple-burl spacer.

I produced the hardware myself in my workshop. I gave it an antique and lived-in look. I added a polished ergal bottom cap to give it a sparkling point in a discreet position.

The wraps are in cherry colour Japanese silk and tip in black.  

The stipping guide in cherry-red agate by "Perfect Agate" which I personally blued to create uniformity with the SB guides.

This will also be a difficult rod to let go from my hands.

Questa è una canna fantastica, ha un caricamento morbido e profondo, probabilmente è la canna perfetta per piccole acque.

Ho costruito questa "bellezza" con l'intenzione di darle un aspetto sobrio ed elegante.

Il grip è un vellutato slim-fit in continuità con un pregiatissimo spacer in radica di acero stabilizzata.

Ho prodotto personalmente la meccanica  nel mio laboratorio. Le ho dato un aspetto antico e vissuto. Ho aggiunto un bottom cap in ergal lucidato per dotarla di un punto scintillante in posizione discreta.

Le legature sono in seta giapponese color ciliegia con filetti neri.

Lo stipping guide in agata colore rosso ciliegia by "Perfect Agate" che ho personalmente brunito per ottenere una uniformità con le serpentine SB.

Anche questa sarà una canna difficile lasciar andare via dalle mie mani.

Caro Massimo, credo proprio che un raffinato come te saprà apprezzarla in pieno !

Mc Farland Tailwind - 9'0'' 4wt. 4pc.

(GRAPHITE ROD)

Another excellent ‘Tailwind’ rolled by Mike in the USA. Progressive, powerful and sensitive. ( One of my favourites ).

In agreement with my customer, I have given the rod an extremely clean and essential look, as usual, with a few small details.

The grip is a velvety full wells, combined with a magnificent stabilised maple burl spacer (exibition grade).

I installed a classic down-lock hardware of my own making to which I added a synthetic ivory bottom cap in the butt cap.

A beautiful strippig guide by ‘Mildrum’ and snakes by ‘SB’ Uni, wrapped with ghost-coloured Japanese silk and white tip complete the assembly.

This is a splendid rod to use anywhere...

Un altro eccellente "Tailwind" rullato da Mike negli USA. Progressivo, potente e sensibile. ( Uno dei miei preferiti ).

In accordo col mio cliente, ho conferito alla canna un look estremamente pulito ed essenziale, come al solito, con qualche piccolo dettaglio.

Il grip è un vellutato full wells, unito ad un magnifico spacer in Maple burl stabilizzato (exibition grade).

Ho montato una classica meccanica down lock di mia produzione a cui ho aggiunto nel butt cap un bottom cap in avorio sintetico.

Un bellissimo strippig guide by "Mildrum" e serpentine di "SB" Uni, legate con seta giapponese color ghost e filetti bianchi completano il montaggio.

Questa è una canna da usare ovunque...
